In years past, I offered interviewing and writing services for people who wanted to have the life story of their parents or grandparents written. These were popular anniversary or holiday gifts. You may see “Tell Me Your Story” type books available online, however in the interest of preserving our collective heritage you can have this one at no cost. In 2011, I wrote several self-interview memory books that contained the questions I used when interviewing my customers and made them available for purchase to anyone who wanted to write their own story or interview their family members.
I have now collected all of the questions into one life story interview, which you can use for free. Donations are appreciated and you can make one here. However, there is no need to purchase a book online. You can either fill out this Google Form and your responses will be automatically emailed to you, or you can download it to print (32 pages) so that you can hand-write your responses.
